TONIGHT IN ATHENS:

I can't tell you how excited I was to read that Don Chambers + GOAT and Kimberly Morgan & The Everloving Band were going to be playing together at the 40 Watt tonight. These are two of the best bands I've seen emerge from this town in a while and putting both of them together in the best-sounding (when there's not all that chatter) club in town - well, that's just genius.

Here are the valid reasons to not be in the audience tonight:
-You are one of the billions of humans since the dawn of time to have fallen victim to death.
-You are just finding out about this now and live too far away to make it by plane in time*.
-You hate music. (You don't hate music, do you?)
-The Apocalypse begins or nuclear war breaks out*.
-You are in one of those bands.

Otherwise, by all means, find your way down to the Watt, and check out what will undoubtedly be one of the best shows this year.
