Both Dictionary.com and Wordsmith.org offer different vocabulary-building services - called "Word of the Day" and "A Word A Day", respectively. So, next time your grad school friends try to wow you with their newly-acquired liberal-arts knowledge, you've got ammunition.

(I'm sure several other sites offer the same thing, but I have to limit myself to two because my brain is filled with other useless information.)
