Barbara Cue closes out the Sunflower Music Series at the Botanical Gardens tonight. Sunny Ortiz (of Widespread Panic) will be guesting with them. Clay Leverett (of Lona, The Chasers, and Now It's Overhead) will be opening with a solo set. Expect both sets to be 'toned down' a bit for the casual atmosphere - most especially if it rains anytime in the next 11 hours and the event has to be moved inside. It all starts at 7PM, and you must get tickets ahead of time (it will sell out). Pay over the phone at: 706/542-6014.

In other Barbara Cue news, their new album, Rhythm Oil, will be released on October 12th. You can also get their entire performance at this year's Bonnaroo Music Festival on CD at this site.

All in all, not a bad way to start winding down summer.
