McDon't Put Two & Two Together...

McDonald's Corp. said that Charlie Bell, its 44-year-old president and chief executive, had stepped down to focus on battling cancer just seven months after assuming the top post at the world's largest fast-food company...

Bell, an Australian who began his career in a McDonald's restaurant at the age of 15, became the company's first non-American chief executive officer when he replaced Jim Cantalupo, who died suddenly in April of a heart attack.

Two weeks after taking over the top job, Bell was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, and he has been in and out of the hospital since then for a series of surgeries and treatment, including chemotherapy.
