Top Five Things I Discovered Criminally Late In 2004

5. Interpol "Turn on the Bright Lights"

This album came out in 2002 and was on everyone's best of 2002 list. I'm not sure why, but I refused to give 'em a shot in '02 (I think it was the suits). However, I finally got (i.e. downloaded) their album in '04 and have been spinning it constantly ever since.

4. Ipod

I'm a cheapskate... I sat on buying an ipod for two years. Finally took the plunge this year, and it's changed my life (seriously).

3. Confederacy of Dunces

This is a book that most folks read when they're teenagers. Not me... Can't wait for the movie.

2. Dr. Strangelove

My roomie (Mail Clerk) owns this movie... and I've been meaning to watch it for quite a while. Finally did so this year, and felt silly for not having seen it before.

1. Voting

In the past, I've always boycotted voting. I had the notion that I wasn't being given any real options between candidate A and candidate B. This was my third opportunity to vote in a presidential election, and the first time I chose to do so. What can I say? Dubya inspires me... just not in the way he'd hope.

So, there ya go... start makin' fun of me for being such a latecomer.
