Top Five Things of 2004

Well, I guess we are doing top five lists today, so I'll add mine as well, because I'm sure lots of people care.

1. The Go! Team - Sounds like a hyperactive kindergarten class made some music. "The Power Is On!" is my favorite on their Thunder Lightning Strike album.

2. The Kleptones - I really enjoyed their Queen/hip-hop mash-up thingee, A Night at the Hip-Hopera. I just noticed they've done Yoshimi Battles the Hip-Hop Robots (they call it Lip-Hop, ha ha).

3. Baadasssss! - Mario Van Peebles tells the story of Melvin Van Peebles making Sweet Sweetback, and I loved every minute of it.

4. Shaun of the Dead - I really liked Dawn of the Dead, but Shaun of the Dead just has it all. Worth repeat viewings.

5. Paying off my credit cards and quitting my second job.
