Under the "no duh" category... What's the assumption when a band has a huge buzz and is completely mum about their future? That's right: contract.

Well, in this case I can confirm from a pretty reliable source that the much-debated act The Whigs indeed now have been tied to a major label. Can't say which one for fear of some sort of legal something or other; let's just say it's a fairly old company.

No word on what this'll translate to in terms of when we'll finally see an album, but don't expect anything to be released/sold until their official "debut".
