I just wanted to quickly share a funny story with ya'll.

TDJ bloggers have somewhat clear roles... I write about computers, politics, nerd stuff, etc... Advisor writes about homosexuality, comics, horror movies... Mail Clerk writes alot about Athens music/gossip... etc.

Many of the posts from Mail Clerk have been about my band, which has always been fine... so long as people didn't think I was posting these things about myself.

Well, a few weeks ago I ran into my old neighbor at Kroger. He comes up to me and says, "Hey Matt... I hear you have a new album."
I say, "Yup".
He says, "I've been reading lots of good things about it."
I say, "Really?"
He says, "Mostly from this site called The Day Jobs, you heard of it?"

...now most people would say, "Oh... I'm one of the bloggers on that site... My friend (Mail Clerk) is the one who posts all that crap about us... otherwise, we normally get bad reviews."

However... I, being a total scitzoid, said, "Oh really? I've never heard of it."

Right afterwards, I thought to myself, "What an effin' idiot am I? Why did I just lie about that?"

What a Larry David sort of thing to do...
