Editorial: Insurgents Lack Basic Videography Skills

So, CNN's showing yet another video of an insurgent attack. Seems those guys, much like high school vandals, really love filming their exploits. The thing is, as well-trained as they might be at blowing stuff up, insurgents really don't seem very good at shooting video footage. For instance, if some dude told me, "This is gonna be a one-time only thing, make sure you get a good shot," I would at least have the camera pointed in the direction of the action.

I mean, did you see the 'convoy video' a few months back? CNN was all hyped like, "check out this amazing footage". What it turned out to be was some guy jumping up and down with a camera in his hand filming some trucks on a highway with gunshot sounds coming from somewhere. The Blair Witch cinematographer was more focused. Seriously, if y'all're gonna use these videos to freak people out, at least let them see what it is they're supposed to be freaked out about. Home video of your local highway with the Steady Shot turned off isn't gonna do the trick.
