A Few Interesting Podcasts

I was watching "Meet The Press" last Sunday... and Tim Russert mentioned podcasts.

This startled me... This is a new technology being mentioned by mainstream media, and I haven't tried it out yet. Does this mean I'm getting old? Am I slipping? Am I no longer a nerd? (Don't answer the last one)

So... after an afternoon of diving into the world of podcasts, I thought I'd shared a couple that might interest TDJ'ers:

- New West Records - Recent programs include an acoustic performance by Drive By Truckers on Sirius, Ben Lee on the Bob Edwards show, Slobberbone live bootlegs, and more.

- Morning Become Eclectic - Features in-studio performances from the show's guests.

- Classic City Reverb - This one was mentioned in the Flagpole a few months ago. It features Athens music, concert calendars, and more... though it looks like they've dropped the ball on this... the last episode was in April. Here's to hoping they'll get back on track.

Can anyone suggest more podcasts that we all might like?

Update: For those that don't read the comments... Modpopradio is a pretty damned nice podcast. It's run by Trey of Athens band Beijing (and from former SC band the Drag). Lots of great music, and it appears he does a semi-decent job of updating.
