Are You Intellectually Disabled?

So, I'm sitting here flipping through notes for a test in my special education class (go ahead, joke it up). And as it turns out, I think I might be "intellectually disabled"...

HOW DO YOU SPOT AN INTELLECTUALLY DISABLED STUDENT IF YOU ARE A GENERAL EDUCATION TEACHER?

1) Immature: They act like a younger child. They interact with younger children.
2) They can't handle conflict.
3) They have a hard time making friends.
4) They have poor organizational skills.
5) They have poor academic skills. Many gaps in learning. Poor handwriting in many cases.
6) A "I can't do it attitude"
7) Inability to generalize.
8) Memory deficits: forgets from day to day.
9) Poor vocabulary: can't remember specific names of things.
10) Poor self-esteem: easily led and will give up easily.
11) Reluctant to try new tasks. Tries to solicit the help of others. Depends on the teacher too much.
12) Low frustration tolerance.
13) Short attention span. (I like that they put this one last.)

*Most students display some of these behaviors. Intellectually disabled students exhibit most of these behaviors.

So, how did y'all score? Sorry if I was the first to break the news to any of y'all.
