Strangely, another impending football weekend where more's happening during the week than the Friday and Saturday of... First off, around 6PM, Ty Manning of the Bearfoot Hookers is hosting a song swap night at the Caledonia. It features Clay Leverett, Betsy Franck, and Bo Bedingfield. Good group of alt-country-ers, and an early show to boot.

Then, a very sad occasion is marked with tonight being the final show at the Lunch Paper. I know the new place didn't have the charm of the old one and all, but I still can't believe it's going away. Where has the power or degenerate spending money gone? Anyway, you can see Music Hates You, The Dumps, and about 100 other bands there. It's gonna be loud and awesome. And sad, I'm sure. But mostly loud.

Also, Mandy Jane & The Jaws of Life at the 40 Watt.
