A couple of big-name outta-towners makes this a pretty spectacular "easier-listening" night. First, Aimee Mann brings her very catchy pop songs to the Melting Point of all places. Small venue and I'm not sure if there are still tix. Tin Cup Prophette opens (she's gigging more than Music Hates You these days). More here.

Also, Calexico brings some of the best Tex-Mex-flavored music out there to the 40 Watt as well. Last time I saw them (a year or so ago?), they kept me entertained despite not knowing a single song of theirs before I went (and my attention span is damn short). More here.
