FRI: Musickfest continues tonight at Nuci's Space. If you've missed any details, scroll down to yesterday or the day before's posts. Last night's show was awesome. A great (if short) performance by the Star Room Quintet (my name, not theirs) and how about the guy who paid $1,000 for the Panic poster?!? That's either very dedicated or very drunk. Also, just got done watching the "Southern Bitch Live At The 40 Watt" DVD and it's awesome. Way to on that, Sloan and Matt! Anyway, here's the lineup for tonight:
Friday, Oct. 6th, Nuci's Space, $10, doors 7pmAlso, the Workhorses of the Recreational/Entertainment Industry will play an increasingly rare show (getting back to old form, huh?) at Flicker around 8:30 PM.
Still Small Voice and the Joyful Noise 8 pm
Betsy Franck 9 pm
Kimberly Morgan 9:45 pm
Diet Rockstar 10:30 pm
Mother Jackson 11:30 pm
Patterson Hood 12:30 am

SAT (GO DAWGS!!!): During the day, there's the annual North Georgia Folk Festival at Sandy Creek Park. I don't know all the details, but you can read about it here and here.
If you can brave the Vols fans, downtown's got a couple of good shows. The Titans of Filth make a club appearance to play the Caledonia with outta-towners the Lylas and the local Bearfoot Hookers. Also, if you miss the folk-ish daytime, you can catch Hope For Agoldensummer and The Packway Handle Band at the 40 Watt.
