It's major flashback time at the 40 Watt as the Dexter Romweber Duo, Flash To Bang Time, and Polemic (okay, they're kinda newer than the other two) perform together. Rare for each to play. Probably unprecedented for a triple bill. Fun line-up.
For something softer, there's Peter Alvanos (of Fabulous Bird) over at the Mercury Lounge. And for something odd and possibly not true, there's the apparent rumor that Everclear (yes, that Everclear) is going to play the tiny new bar The Library (formerly known as "The G Spot" and before that "The Brass Monkey" - if I remember correctly). They're doing a tour of college towns and have a break in their posted schedule tonight and are going to Mobile, AL tomorrow, so it's possible. Probable, we'll see? Stranger things have happened. Anyway, F'pole printed it and since so many people here probably came of music-loving age in the 90's, thought I'd mention it.
UPDATE: My bad, wrong bar (as Hillary pointed out). The bar the supposed Everclear show is at is actually the place formerly known as Athens Music/Burger Factory and The Last Call and The Fifth Quarter and all that. Makes more sense now. That place is bigger.
