Tonight In Athens

Brit songwriter/guitar-cradler extraordinaire Richard Thompson makes a stop in Athens to perform at the Melting Point. I'm sure a lot of folks here know who he is, but anyone who hasn't heard R.E.M.'s cover of his song "Wall Of Death" is missing out - great song, great cover. Anyway, it's a rare opportunity to see a great legend play in this town.

Also, Nic Goodsen (of Sleepy Horses) and fellow Texan Dylan Sneed (of Last Picture Show) - both now Athenians - will be playing a set together over at Flicker that I'm sure will be worth checking out.
