Anyone who has ever liked heavy music in Athens oughta make sure not to miss the article on Mercyland in last week's Flagpole. Other than the Bar-B-Q Killers (who were pretty much the first hardcore band in Athens ever), they're responsible for helping to bring fast, loud music to the ATH, which is pretty cool. Nowadays, Barbe's all slow and melodic... but there was a time he could seriously rock heavy.
