Tonight In Athens

A fairly busy Thursday, which is a good thing. There's a fantastic double-bill over at the
Caledonia with the up-and-comers
Titans Of Filth and the seldom-playing pop mainstay
Big Gray. Well worth catching if you're into pop stuff.
If you want something heavier,
Goat's playing over at the
Georgia Theatre for the first time in a long while as a full band. Don't know if there's new material or not, but it's a rare occurence these days (used to be like, every other week).
There's more country-influenced rock n' roll down at the
40 Watt with
Mikey Dwyer & The Starter Kits and
Timber (the latter being more country than the former). Or, if you're like me and wouldn't mind something earlier and softer, then
Flicker's got
Patrick Carey (of
The Ginger Envelope) and
Paul McHugh (of
Mother Jackson) playing acoustic shows starting around 8:30.
