Outta-towners Blonde Redhead perform at the 40 Watt tonight. It's weird, before they became critical darlings, a friend of mine (who's really not a music nerd in any way whatsoever) was in some crappy used CD shop in Pasadena and heard their first album playing in store. He impulse purchased the hell out of it, and I told him that was a dumb idea and that it was likely he'd be sick of it in a month and never hear of that band again. Man, was I wrong.

Almost as wrong as that time I had to sit through a Limp Bizkit set before they were famous and remarked, "Well, I'm absolutely sure they people will never be famous, so at least this is the last time I'll ever have to hear them." True story.
