Totally got this e-mail late, but here's some cool new magazine news:

Howdy Dayjobbers,

Jeff Owens here. A few months back Todd Kelly, Pete McBrayer, and I started a magazine project called Strayhorn. We ... are currently wrapping up our first issue, filled with the weird, the forgotten, and the overlooked in art, film music, etc. We are hosting some film events ... on the weekend of Oct. 5,6, & 7, we are bringing Raiders of Lost Ark: The Adaptation to Cine. Its a shot for shot remake of Raiders (full feature length) shot on Betamax in the 80's by 12-year- olds in Biloxi Miss. It has real fire, stunts, 200 costumes, snakes, explosions, and a giant paper mache boulder! Its awesome, and the guy who made it are coming to talk and answer questions and meet Athens. The event is benefiting Teen Screen, a local organization supporting teen filmmakers.
