Tonight In Athens

Happy Halloween, y'all! As is traditional, it's a covers night all around town. Here's just a sampling of what's going on:

Bloodkin plays the Rolling Stones' Some Girls at the Georgia Bar (where else?).

We Versus The Shark play the Violent Femmes, Vermont plays Daniel Johnston, Some folks from Dark Meat cover songs by The Dicks, plus Misfits by various folks and Moldy Peaches covers by Cars Can Be Blue all at Little Kings.

Of Montreal plays some album that's yet to be revealed at the 40 Watt. (SOLD OUT)

Plus, the traditional covers set by the Shut-Ups featuring many guest appearances down at the Caledonia. Opening that show will be ZZ Topless - bet you can guess the covers and costumes on that one.

Playing not-named-as-covers sets are the Dictatortots at Tasty World, William Tonks at the Georgia Bar, and The New Sound of Numbers and 63 Crayons at Go Bar.

And as usual, our pal Jay Gonzalez will be at Kingpins playing piano covers - starting early at 7 PM so he can put on a big beard for a later rock show.

Props to Ryan for the awesome pumpkin carving.
