This Weekend In Athens

Taking over for Mail Clerk on this one today, so hopefully I get it all. No links today folks.

Friday:

Free show at the 40 Watt tonight with lots of bands, including Long Legged Woman.

Just down the street at Farm 255 is Ginger Envelope, Madeline and possibly a few other folks.

As mentioned below, Flicker is hosting William Tonks' first solo cd release party. William will do some songs on his own, then some with Danny Hutchens and Eric Carter of Bloodkin, then they will all do some separately as well, I believe. Oh, and they will have cheez-its. If you went to the Barbara Cue cd release party a few years back over at the Tasty World, you know Tonks is good for his word on the cheez-its.

The Go Bar is hosting a show with Fairmount Fair, Jay Domingo, Jeff Fallis, and some others as well as DJ Baby Pandas and a few other djs to follow. There's Jimmy Hall (Wet Willie) over at the Georgia Theatre, and there's a few bands over at Little Kings tonight, though I don't know anything about them.

Saturday:

The 40 Watt is hosting yet another free show, this one with Dark Meat and Noot d'Noot.

A. Armada, Caledonia Social Club and Stay Fucked are over at the Caledonia Lounge. I think this is one of the first few performances by Caledonia Social Club, and I must say that I caught the last one and enjoyed it, so check it out.

Flicker has Bain Mattox and finally, Rubber Soul Yoga Revolution Studio is going to be the venue for the cd release party for Hope For Agoldensummer.

Sunday:

Go get your end of the weekend rock on with Pride Parade over at Transmet!

Have a good weekend folks, and good luck braving the holiday traffic around town.
