This Weekend In Athens

FRI: The Jammy Jamm shows (not to be confused with shows that involve the sweet Hamm Jamm - which are sadly few and far between these days) make their way to the weekend. That means the acts you see at The Secret Squirrel show up at the 40 Watt and you get to see 'em for free. Tonight's show is a packed lineup as usual and features Sweet Teeth, Cinemechanica (click picture to enlarge), The Buddy System, and more.

If that's not your thing, there's Dancer Vs. Politician (new-ish act by Sunni from Audition with Max Reinhardt) at Flicker and the power-balladeers in The Folk Yous at Go Bar.




SAT: Ham 1 (recently lauded by the notoriously picked KM), Andy From Denver (aka Andy that guy from M Coast), and outta-towners Miwa Gemini (who I've never heard but who Team Clermont really, really wanted me to mention and since they paid us attention as if we were a legitimate media outlet, I figured I would) all play at Flicker.

And the Jammy Jamm crew is back with "Athens Face/Off II" at the 40 Watt featuring Dark Meat members teaming up with people who aren't in Dark Meat to make instantaneous new music in front of your eyes/ears. The lineup is:
