I am reposting this from a Kingpin's myspace bulletin. Please spread the word if you are interesting in helping. From someone who spent a few years working as an administrator for a large animal shelter, I can tell you that all animal shelters need any help they can get. And this seems pretty darn easy!
Zootoo.com is staging a great contest, giving money away to the top 20 finalists in their shelter makeover competition. All you have to do is sign up, which gives the shelter of your choice points that go towards a running total. Currently, Athens Animal Control is in 60th place out of thousands participating. They could sure use some bucks to help out our local needy animals!
Also, keep checking in with us for future events held at Kingpins that will support local rescue efforts.
Go to zootoo.com/makeover or link to the site through our own page, www.kingpins.us. Then search by zip code for Athens Animal Control, and choose the FIRST one of the two (for some reason they have two listed). OR of course choose a shelter nearer to you if you're not in Athens. Thanks!
