(T)Roll Call
Greetings TDJers,
Library Troll here. My real name's Pete, and many of us have met. I just adopted "Library Troll" as a hat-tip to The Day Jobs original incarnation. I've been a fan of TDJ for a long time, so when Mail Clerk sent out the call I signed up. The negotiations were something like this:
MC: We're moving soon, we need more bloggers!
Me: Well, I'll chip in ... you know, maybe a couple of times a year ...
MC: Great! You're hired! Here's the keys, if you need anything, we'll be in Bermuda!
Getting me to blog about music is like getting Gordon Lamb to blog about sports: potentially hilarious, in an awkward "Borat" sort of way, but probably unenlightening. But The Day Jobs community is cool, and I'd hate to see it fizzle out after MC and company leave town, so I'm taking one for the team.
I'll need LOTS of help, though. So for my first post, how about saying hello in the comments, and leaving a URL or two of your favorite blogs - music ones especially appreciated. My two (non-music) that I've been reading daily for a while now are
Comics Curmudgeon and
By Ken Levine. And if that doesn't convince you how completely unqualified I am to blog on the Athens music scene, nothing will.
