Double Dynamite and Everybody Everybody, with others, over at the Go Bar. These bands have members from Cars Can Be Blue, Titans of Filth, and Christopher's Liver. (There's a band called Meth Teeth there...haha).Of course, if you're not up for music, but want to show off your music knowledge, there's rock and roll trivia at Little Kings at 8 p.m. and the game show Let's Make A Deal is at the Georgia Theatre (every Monday in July). It's only a dollar and my friend won some gift certificates to local businesses there last week. Something different to do, at the very least.
In other news, congratulations to Widespread Panic, who will be inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame on September 20. Pitchfork has Chapter 1 of Athens, GA. Inside/Out for viewing on their website. They also have Of Montreal on there from their appearance at the 2007 Pitchfork Music Festival. Something to do if you are bored at work. And in other exciting news, it appears Kenny Rogers is coming back to Athens full-time.
