- No determined cause of fire at the Georgia Theatre yet. Investigators are working to find out more details. Last night's benefit show at the Melting Point was sold out. Way to go, Athens.
- Paul McCartney to play Atlanta's Piedmont Park August 15th and Dinosaur Jr. to play Atlanta's Variety Playhouse in October. (Coincidentally, it was also just announced that local drummer Kyle Spence, along with bassist Dave Schools, will be J Mascis' Fog for the December ATP Festival in England. And speaking of Dave, someone should buy this. LOL)
