Slow night in Athens. Carl Lindberg and Friends will be at Farm 255 (free) and it's bluegrass night at the Melting Point with Beverly Smith and Carl Jones. Ashutto Mirra is at the Nowhere Bar and Coco Rico, On Wonderful Jonathan and Reptar are at the Tasty World Uptown. There's also a punk rock dance party at Little Kings, poker night at Flicker, and movie trivia night with Jeff Tobias at Cine'.As a sidenote, some of the best news I heard this weekend is that there is now a british pub, The Royal Peasant, where Mean Bean Burrito used to be in 5 Points. (Apparently they also serve some Indian food in addition to the regular pub fare!) This makes Desktop Publisher very, very happy. Here are some pictures of the building that someone posted.
