Athens' own Gordon Lamb is working hard to release a remastered CD of the Bar-B-Q Killers one and only album, Comely.A lot of the compiling and remastering of Comely (as well as a host of other tracks, including demos, live songs and sessions the band did for Athens, GA: Inside/Out) has already been completed. But $3500 is still needed to finish the studio work and press/distribute the CD. This is where you come in.

As with other Kickstarter projects, even a small donation of $10 will still get you something (in this case, a digital download of Comely) -- so it's not like you just have to do this out of the kindness of your heart. Higher donations will receive even greater gifts, including a DVD-R of live Bar-B-Q Killers footage, a book of Bar-B-Q Killers flyers, liner note recognition, and more. No need for false altruism - you gonna get something fo' yo money, fool.
But, if you do want to feel good about donating, keep this in mind: "Sadly, vocalist Laura Carter passed in 2002 leaving a son behind. The band has pledged 100% of its earnings (in perpetuity) from this project to her son."
There's only a month and a half to go, and still a lot of money to be raised. If 300 of our readers donate just $10 each, this project can get off the ground.
