About Our Readers

Computer NerdGet out your dork hats. I was pulling these stats for a website at work when, of course, I got distracted and decided to check out the ones we have for TDJ.

Since March of this year (when I started keeping track) we've had 30,032 visits to the TDJ. Our users obviously know what's up tech-wise, as 45% of you use Firefox and only 30% of you use IE. (Seriously, why are so many of you still using IE?) 18% are using Safari and only 4% are using Chrome. 65% are Windows users, 32% on Macs, and some of you are even reading us via your Playstation (which I didn't even realize was possible).

Our readers come from everywhere, but it seems we get most visits from the US, UK, Canada, Belgium, and wait for this, India. Hmmm. Some of our most popular posts have been, sadly, the bad things, i.e. the Town & Gown tragedy, the passing of Jon Guthrie, etc. but also Officer Killjoy's snarky post about R.E.M. and our most visited page, the Georgia Theatre live show archive page.

Lots of you come to us from either typing TDJ in the address bar, google and facebook, but twitter took the prize on the most popular referring site. Finally, 71% of you come back to visit us more than once, so thanks for your loyalty, TDJ readers! (And thanks for dorking out with me for a few.)
