ok. i get it that thedayjobs has tons of people checking in through blog feeds or whatever you call them, but the reason i used to come here every day is because it was a dynamic conversation due to the comments. now its just links and posts that i sometimes feel i might be the only person in the world knows that they exist. what happened to robo dave and real tales from the oc and making fun of acoustic duos and tipping people off that rem was playing at the 40 watt? where do i go for that now? oh, and id still like to start a band with dudes that like husker du, my bloody valentine and djr.
Head, several reasons, I guess. Most conversations between many of the old visitors happen on facebook now. As for the posts, Tales from the OC was Legal Bitch and she doesn't blog here anymore. In fact, that's part of the problem with lack of meaty posts - it's just me and unfortunately, my "day job" has been very demanding with my time. Sometimes it's just easier to post links, but we still try to make it Athens-centric and to spread the word about the music of Athens.
When the economy gets better, and I have more staff help at the "day job," perhaps the posts on this website will be more interesting. But, for now, I'm just doing the best I can. Perhaps it may be time to let it go? Been doing it everyday for years now.

As for tipping off people about REM shows, they haven't played one since that last 40 Watt show so there ya go;)
