Heads Up: On TV Tonight - posted by Desktop Publisher @ 2:51 PM | Permanent Link
The Sundance Channel will be running the Iconoclasts episode with Mario Batali discussing Michael Stipe tonight at midnight. Stipe also appears in the show. I caught the tail end of this over the weekend and it was pretty interesting.

Okay, postin' on a Saturday is weird, but for anyone who stops by over the weekend, I thought I'd note that someone told me that Clay Leverett will be on the Billy Dilworth Show (channel 32, duh!) tonight. That's right. Clay. On Billy Dilworth. For real. Word has it he bargained for this gig before he agreed to play the re-opening of the Toccoa Town Hall or something like that. Clay is hilarious.
It's..........Lazy Student! - posted by Lazy Student @ 8:47 AM | Permanent Link
Howdy all,
Due to my titular laziness (and the fact that it is the last week of the semester before finals) it has taken me a couple of days to get around to this, my first post on The Day Jobs. I'm really looking forward to helping our government crash our economy by reducing the work production of you, our readers. So without further ado:
Firstly, check out the new logo for the UK's "Office of Governmental Commerce" over there on the right. I'll leave it as an exercise for our readers to figure out whats so funny about it.
Second, we all love the A-Team right? If you don't you probably should just get back to filling out those TPS reports. If you are a true American, though, here is the first episode of "Bring Back the A-Team." Possibly the best TV since the A-Team was taken off the air.
Spoiler: He does get the Mr. T interview and it is well worth the wait!
DBT On Demand - posted by Mail Clerk @ 12:28 AM | Permanent Link
KM wrote us recently with a heads up for all you DBT fans with Comcast...
Hey guys - I know you like your Drive By Truckers info, so... I'm watching (or trying to watch) Drive By Truckers on Comcast On Demand. Their 40 Watt shows from a couple years back is in the free Music section, under the "concert.tv" section. It's just been added, so I assume it'll be available all month.
I'm sure everyone at TDJ has already seen this show...
Oh, and don't forget to check out my 2008 RPM album: http://karatemedia.com/the16points/ -- yeah, yeah, I'm pushing this on everybody... I'm not totally happy with the final results, but it was a lot of fun and it made me sit down and record. It's nice to be forced to put my money where my mouth is. Humbling, too. There were a lot of talented people participating this year.
Happy watching if you can get it to work. I guess you get what you pay for?
The Day Jobs is a group blog for those who are productively lazy. Each blogger lives, works, and plays in Athens. Expect commentary on music, arts, office culture, television, and many other forms of tomfoolery.
